Working in Partnership
South Bristol NHS Community Hospital is a
partnership between Bristol Community Health, BrisDoc, NHS Bristol,
North Bristol NHS Trust and University Hospitals Bristol NHS
Foundation Trust.
Services at the hospital will be provided by:
Bristol Community Health will operate the inpatient wards, the
urgent care service and the day assessment service (William Lloyd
Day Unit). They will also run and manage the hospital overall.
University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust will operate
the day surgery, dental, diagnostic and outpatient services.
BrisDoc will provide the GP out of hours service and the
extended access GP surgery.
The £45 million hospital has been developed by Bristol Infracare
LIFT, a public-private partnership established by NHS Bristol in
2004, working with an experienced design and construction team led
by Carillion and local architects.
